Tool for Writing Comprehensible Stories

I wanted to pass along a resource I learned about from Karen Rowan’s How to Write a Novel webinar.  It’s called Rainbow Arch Word Counter and Frequency Tool.  You simply copy your text that you have written and paste it into the box on the website.  I recently wrote a comprehensible version of an Incan legend for my Spanish 2s, and after running my text through the website I found that I had used words only once that would have confused my students.  The only downfall that I’ve found so far is that it doesn’t work well with accents and tildes.  The program will split that word in half, altering your results.
